Vintage Treasures.

Hello, just a quick little post to let you know that I have re-opened my vintage store on Etsy.

More treasures will be added when I have got around to photographing the individual pieces. They are all real special little collectors items, straight from the 70’s and 80’s and specially sourced from unused shop stock. This means that all pieces have been unworn and are ‘brand new vintage’ in perfectly pristine condition.

If you would like to take a little look on what we have on offer over there please click on a picture and it will take you there :)

Muddy Puddles & rainbow wellies!

It’s been months and months since I picked up my camera. Winter does that too you don’t you think?  But on a family walk I decided to bring out my faithful camera and try to get some shots of how quickly Rufus has grown since the last time I photographed him. He is such a dude, and pulled lots of funny faces at me when ever I asked for a smile. So I had to be a ninja photographer and get the secret smiles of pure muddy puddle joy, that he just couldn’t hide! And this is what happens when Rufus has had enough of me! lol….IMG_8605

Hello :) It’s been yonks!

Hello :) Sorry its been ages. I have always been rather sporadic when it comes to blogging anyway, let’s face it.

So what did I get up to in my time away?

1. I passed my driving test! Woahhhh major achievement right there!

2. I got a job!

3. I quit that job :/

4. I did our annual Autumn photos. Nothing major and posy this year, just a lovely walk in the park with my beautiful boys. And the freedom that objectivity can give you.

I hope you like them. I had rather missed my camera and it felt good to shoot again, I had been a bit rusty and frustrated last time I got her out.

Hope you’re all having a wonderful October and enjoying the changing of the seasons. Ekkkk! Christmas soon.  Actually shh, I didn’t mention that ;) xxx

Vintage Rose Garden, Free Printable Prettiness

Hello there :) I found this lovely print a while back and whilst re-framing it I discovered it was a mass-produced print on textured paper. I love it anyway, and hope you do too lovelies xxx

I hope you enjoy this free vintage wallpaper, use it how ever you wish.  It can be downloaded by clicking on the picture below and then saving the file.

We are family, I got all my sisters with me!

Yes, ahem. Introducing my fabulous sister, Genine Delahaye! This awesome little lady got her designs featured on the blog Print & Pattern, and I couldn’t be more excited, happy and proud for her. This is her vocation, she wanted to be a designer and I wanted to be a brain surgeon.  At least one of us got our dream ;)

You can keep track of her new work on Facebook or take a gander at her portfolio of work on her blog.

And yes, she kindly gave me permission to use her bear design on my blog, how lucky am I!

A special little pudding pie

Ho-ray for the sun.

A few days ago I managed to get out into the country side with my sister, and take portraits of my beautiful niece.

Today we visited my in-laws up at the farm. I took some time and went to the meadow where we got married to paint all the different types of grass. It felt good to be looking after myself. I must find time to do it again soon :)

Bluebells: Part 2

Be Careful not to squash them little bear!

Yay, I have finally finished the photos from the bluebell walk.  loved this place and keep thinking of it. I can’t wait to get back there.

I did just want to also mention, that I do worry about trampling the bluebells. We have a nature loving, sensitive little boy, but also a curious one. He wandered into them a few times at the beginning so I grabbed a couple of shots like a ninja before reminding him not to walk on them. He also picked two when I wasn’t looking. We respected our surroundings, like we always do in the countryside :)

Also, note the killer steady hand I managed to keep on the 3rd picture. That was shot at 1.8 aperture on a nifty 50mm 1.8. The field of focus was teeny.

Marvelous Mothers Day Cards

The contenders for my own Mother’s day card….So they have to be good!

Pearenthetical Press

Loving the fresh spring hues of sky blue and peach, and the pretty typography is rather splendid too. Quite a hefty spend at £4.57 (UK postage included). But It is worth it if you need to buy one for an in-Law or any other paper goodies  :)

Caroline gardener

A sweet little card. You can buy directly from the designer at £4 including postage.

Pip Studio

Of course, the list wouldn’t be complete without a sweet card from my favorites, Pip Studio. £4  from Amazon

PaperChase

This is the card I will be getting for my dear mum. It’s special because my mum is my thrifting partner in crime. I also like the sweet retro things in the shop window. I could even put some pocket-money inside to spend at our first spring bootfair of the year!  Plus it is a bargain £2 instore. (The postage is £3.25 ekkkk!)

Maggie Makes

Maggie Makes has produced a free download of this cross stitch design for those of us who would like to be super special. Infact there is a whole page dedicated to lovely tutorials.  Think geometric patchwork placemats and upcycled T-shirt scarves!
